Kata Kellényi is a Hungarian-American Art Director with over a decade of experience in international film, television, and commercial productions — including projects in both Budapest and Los Angeles. She is based in LA, where she continues to create emotionally resonant visual worlds defined by clarity, intention, and strong storytelling.

She began her career as an assistant art director, gaining hands-on experience through close involvement in set construction and scenic fabrication. Over time, she has grown into a leadership role — guiding art departments across international productions and overseeing the entire design process from initial sketches to on-set execution.

While film remains at the core of her work, her creative interests span everything related to space, visual culture, and storytelling. Her portfolio includes exhibitions, installations, interior design projects, theatrical productions, public performance pieces — and graphic design, which has been a steady part of her creative practice for many years.

More recently, video editing has become part of her creative toolkit as well. She is currently developing her skills in this field through self-directed learning, aiming to expand her storytelling practice through moving images on social media.
